Witch-a-Week 2: Garden Witch This witch is a little secret garden, private and hidden away but well-kept. There was a brick wall with a fountain spout in an area I used to walk in San Francisco. Transporting the feeling of that place to my art here #watercolor #art #witchaweek

This is such a good reminder to push outside the rigid panels and gutters, but also - I legit love the stick figure art style in these sample drawings, it's so cute!

Comic tip for artists who struggle with layouts or making each page not so same-y: be less literal about where your characters are sometimes. Become more artsy with emotions they feel or information they share, you don't need them standing in the same room/position like a scene from a movie

We did a rewatch of Hundreds of Beavers while my sis in law was in town and god that movie is such a ride. The trial scene is a peak of a certain kind of absurdity that really appeals to me, and if you're going to distill this movie down into one image it has to be an absurd one. #watercolor #art

A short comic for #MicroComicSummer (ﾉ･ω･)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧ 🌿 #art #OCsky #OC_tag

comic spread set 01: Ethan is atop a cliff overlooking the sea. He wades through tall grass. A rustle sounds behind him and he turns to look. Animals rush from the grass and dive off the edge of the cliff. Concerned, Ethan turns behind him to see plumes of smoke indicating a dangerous brushfire. Alarmed, he makes a rash decision and jumps off the cliff to the waters below.

comic spread set 02: Ethan is consumed in bubbles as he floats underwater. There are lifeless still creatures floating in the water around him. He looks to the side and sees a familiar hand. Ravenno's body is floating in the water with an arm obscuring their face. Ethan hurriedly swims to them.

comic spread set 03: Ethan holds a motionless Ravenno in his arms on a rocky sandy shore. The view shifts to above, looking down on them in the sand as the waves lap at Ravenno's feet. The comic transitions to being bathed in mostly darkness with a sliver of light irritating a sleeping Ethan as he sobs and thinks of Ravenno's hand in his. He wakes up and reached to the empty space Ravenno should be and then sits up looking around confused.

comic spread set 04: Ravenno enters the dark bedroom with a door 'creaaaakk~' They are surprised and quietly ask "oh! you're awake??" A close up of Ravenno, backlit, continues slightly louder, "you okay? did I wake you?" Ethan, relieved and embarrassed, replies "I... I just missed you. I feel better now; don't worry." Ravenno begins to climb back into bed and Ethan kisses them. The two of them are lit by a sliver of light from the other room.
