2025 was more heartbreaking for the Phillies, because the season itself was less complicated. I'm grateful for the good times--we'll always have August!--but the postseason pattern since 2022 is so clear that it feels like only a lockout can complete this whatever's-the-opposite-of-a-royal-flush.
