Finally made the trip out to Clifton Down to see the Common Wall Lizards on #WorldLizardDay last Friday, and they didn't disappoint! Incredibly showy in the late morning sun, giving great views and even posing for photos around the paths and benches #UKReptiles #BristolWildlife

A couple of colour-ringed Black-headed Gulls at Slimbridge yesterday, the regular Polish-ringed bird B-T0RX, but also a new bird to me, Y-S1663 which was ringed in Croatia in 2023. Always so amazed to learn these birds' life histories #GlosBirds #WWTSlimbridgeSightings @wwtsightings.bsky.social

A more environmental shot of yesterday's Montagu's Harrier, with a fairly unique supporting cast of curlews and a pair of unringed cranes. #GlosBirds #WWTSlimbridgeSightings
A first summer male Montagu's Harrier in flight over a dry grass field. In the field to the right of the harrier is a group of six Eurasian Curlew looking alert. In the field to the left of the harrier is a pair of Eurasian Cranes, with one crane stood up on one leg, and one crane laying down in the grass watching the harrier.
