These are basically illegal in most of the US and they shouldn't be.

That's a great recommendation.

I remember eating oatmeal with peanut butter in my twenties and calling it dinner.

In 1970 near the peak of his fame he put out an album that was a real stinker, before going on to make Blood on the Tracks five years later. For anyone making stuff, it's just really to remember: it's ok to swing and miss! To try things that don't work.

Appreciate the reminder to avoid these topics around family and neighbors.

It's an excellent mingag! This was a big thing in nyc / ca when I was growing up but it's less of a thing here now. Chinese restaurants were some of the only places open but that's not true anymore. Also your wife sounds awesome.

Yeah, definitely my least favorite part of the community here.

Hunter, I know you have a whole journalistic job but I somehow thought you also officially work at Bluesky. It's cool that you volunteered, reminds me that I could also volunteer to do good things.

Hi Taylor. It seems reasonable that there are reasons why higher-ups would make this decision but it also seems possible a button was hit by mistake (or not mistake) by someone with cms access.

Yes, exactly! Strong closure is important. I got this case, which has a snap enclosure. If i'd seen the Toffee style first, I might have gotten that instead. Zipper seems like better protection. Mission has a wool felt lining, which is a point in its favor. missionleatherco.com/collections/...

I was laissez faire with grading when I taught a class on Entrepreneurship at Williams. But if I ever teach again, I think I'll be more strict. It's not great for the kids to learn that they can be irresponsible, because their manager at an entry level job won't be so easygoing.

Really excited about @modretro.bsky.social. I (mostly) love futuristic tech but get nostalgic for the time before tik tok and rising sea temperatures. It's nice for me that the cool kids are also into 80s retro. ModRetro just sold out of their first run but they say they'll ship other products.

A mom just came in SO EXCITED to find a map store bc her son would LOVE it. She tries to be coy. "My son is... Really into maps. Real special kid." I'm like, ma'am, this is a map store. Half my customers are on the spectrum. I have a trains and transit section. You're among friends.

This explains a lot. NJ is very pleasant, if you live in NJ. But driving there from Manhattan (where I imagine tv writers lived in the 90s) is something else.

I agree with you. It's exciting to see Section 31 get the screen time, and more Michelle Yeoh is of course good. But the trailer suggests this these good things went thru a committee or VIP who insisted "needs action to sell."

Section 31 is an excellent theme but canonically this should be more cloak and dagger and less blowing things up.
