My thinking: a lot of indies undercharge for our books. Lots of us only promote them when we discount them. If you've ever wondered if you can raise your prices and still sell; this could be a good test. Its also an opportunity to promote supporting indies, instead of a certain evil bookstore 😉

Yeah, they had the guts to pull out of the ANZUS alliance because they didn't want nuclear subs in their ports. Whereas 40 years later we're wasting billions on the possibility of nuclear subs and housing far too many of their bases.

Two weeks into dog sitting & I'm tired but my fibro is doing well. I'm taking Dav on longer walks than he's used to 😅 (he loves it & wants to play catch when we get home), and his stamina is extending beyond mine. But pushing myself a little harder to keep up is a gentle stamina boost doing me good.

I just learnt that the original meaning of 'scapegoat' was the animal sacrificed to gods, in the ancient world. I know that often involved animal cruelty, yet it almost seems more civilised than modern practices of antisemitism, xenophobia towards immigrants, rampant transphobia & genocide in Gaza 🤔
