Research that confirms that anxiety can be acquired? WTAF! There are undoubtedly conditions that can make it more likely, but it's generally a response to experience and environment. A big part of PTSD and cPTSD, both of which are aquired, is, you guessed it, anxiety! What a strange person.

I've had to unfriend a few fans lately, all for the same reason. They made ridiculing, unkind, and in some cases outright cruel comments about pictures I posted of young women cosplaying Jessica.
More than a person, Jessica is a state of mind. To play Jessica, you need self -confidence, a sense of humor, and a Jessican -attitude-. There is no such thing as a Jessica cosplayer being too short, too flat chested, too heavy, too thin, too unattractive, too black, too Asian, or even too male!!! All Jessica, any Jessica, every Jessica is good Jessica.
I'm not giving any warnings or second chances. A single disparaging comment on a Jessica cosplayer, and I'm throwing you out of the rainbow colored Toontown Tent.

A shave horse is a bench you sit astride and which clamps the green wood you are working, using a draw knife. I've not used one for some months, till yesterday. Tight trousers, or poor technique? Whatever reason today, I'm very aware of my... family jewels, so to speak! The beets seemed appropriate

I ate the last of my kimchi yesterday. Felixstowe with my son and some friends today. Arcade. Slots. Fun! KFC! Shock, horror! Shut down! We found Phoenix Fruit! Everything I needed to make a bucket of kimchi! The universe said good boy Edward! We found a functional KFC in Martlesham!

It's a relatively common experience for me, too. Particularly racists, homophobes, hate filled people. Interesting conversations, shared experiences, they get comfortable, decide to tell me immigrants eat pets or societal collapse will happen coz everyone is gay now! They are shocked I don't agree!

Splitting a log is opening a time capsule. This sweet chestnut contained the remains of the sapling the tree grew from. Green woodworking can lead to philosophical musings on humanity, and what may be there deep within us all, perhaps waiting to emerge again. Hopefully, without the aid of an axe.

But I was a horror movie child. But that was just down to completely unsupervised 70's boomer parenting & 70's children's tv in the UK. Things like Children of the Stones were on in the afternoon after school! Nothing to do with autism, & we only attempted a blood sacrifice to appease the gods once

We regularly rewatch it. It's like a comforting blanket and a nice cup of tea on a cold day. It's also a homage to the east anglian countryside. Wonderful. Television at its best. We also really enjoyed Worzel Gummidge. The music from the Unthanks went so well.

I've spent the 9 years since diagnosis, learning who I am & how I really feel comfortable behaving, rather than trying to be who others told me I should be, & behaving how I thought I should. There have been periods of deep confusion & depression. Who am I? But also of joy. Happy journey to you

I feel guilt because of how much our small autistic family enjoyed lockdown while so many others suffered. It gave me time to heal. My son still talks fondly about that time and wishes we could live like that again. 'Normal' life damages us on a daily basis.
