Last week we saw record high temperatures 🌡️ This is not normal. It is a direct result of climate change.

Last week, on the last night of three days of crazy academic festivities, a new PhD student asked what single piece of advice I'd give them on their PhD work. "Don't spend your evenings and weekends working, you don't need it to succeed in academia" is what I'll forever stand by.

This local Wolfdog joined an Olympic ski event and triggered the finish-line camera. This is Nazgul. He snuck into a cross-country skiing sprint this morning and raced the homestretch with some competitors before being escorted home. 14/10 someone get him a medal

Everyone should be boycotting brands as a way of supporting Palestine. It's hugely effective! Start with Coca Cola, Amazon, Disney, Barclays. If we have to live in a capitalist society which doesn't respect human rights, we can fight back by not letting them use our money.

Something about flying over a currently-happening genocide that my own country and others refuse to do anything about, even as it is happening clear as day, visible from the passenger jets flying us around as if life is still normal.

Stop worrying about bats and newts? No Rachel Reeves MP – start worrying about the future of our economy if we tear down the nature it depends on. Nature isn’t a blocker; it’s the foundation of growth.

Screenshot of a BBC Politics tweet shows Chancellor Rachel Reeves speaking at a podium during a live broadcast of her speech. The quote at the top reads, “We are reducing the environmental requirements placed on developers when they pay into a nature restoration fund… they can focus on getting things built and stop worrying about the bats and the newts,” as she addresses the audience. In the background, there are large screens displaying the live stream of the speech, with a banner at the bottom reading “Kickstarting Economic Growth.”
