Shoutout to the only helpful medical practitioner I've had in all of this, a physical therapist specifically trained in working with ME/CFS patients. She helped me learn pacing and was always proactively seeking out new research and sharing takeaways with me that I might be able to apply day to day.

SO many people (& doctors) keep asking me "Who is managing your Long COVID??" and I just want to scream. Me! It's me! I'm the one managing my Long COVID ME/CFS! I'm trying to stay on top of research and then bringing it to my various doctors asking "Is this anything??" and am usually met with 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♀️🤷

The gynecologist at my recent appointment went out of her way to say "I believe you that this is happening" and "This is not normal" and "I'm sorry you've been through all this" ... then my test results came back "normal" and she was like "Ok, everything looks great!"

Only even bothered with the test as I've met my deductible for the year so it would be less expensive than if not. Had to apply for scholarship funding (!!) to try to see if an integrative medicine doctor might be able to help in any way as the only insurance they take is Medicare.

Just this week had yet another test/procedure come back “normal” (very common for ME/CFS!) so the doctors insist I’m fine despite very obviously not being fine!

In addition to 900 other long covid side effects, my (bad) cholesterol is now elevated. My PCP (who is really good!!) considers it a blip I can modify with diet … despite already following best practices for a low cholesterol diet. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
