For real. Down this avenue, let's talk about how unprepared audiences are to cope with unlikeable protagonists. Not every protagonist is someone you should want to root for. Some of them are genuinely bad people. Folks have forgotten how to cope with unlikeable people with unlikeable worldviews.

I wish people wouldn't do this because any time the right is desperate to control what trans men do with their bodies (which is often), this reasoning is used to 1) define trans men as women and/or 2) deny that control is even happening, often both at once.
