Something I like about @elazic.bsky.social's careful read here is that it points out a fatal flaw with a lot of pieces of writing that pass for "reviews" (even from critics!) because they talk about a movie: saying "this is bad!" as if it's self-evident, rather than arguing for *why* it is bad.

flagging, because I certainly wasn't aware of this and wondered why my computer was getting so hot lately, that a recent Chrome update appears to have added gen AI to run on your system by default unless you switch it off, which I've now done
