Forestry in the US had its start at Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC. George Vanderbilt brought in an expert from Europe to manage the forest land of the estate, eventually starting training programs. Part of the estate now makes up Pisgah National Forest. This is a giant f*ck you to the country.

I read several pieces earlier in the year that said martial law would be very hard to implement and keep going. There just isn’t the personnel to do it. But given the money in the murder bill heading to ICE, I wonder if personnel won’t be as big a hindrance. Maybe some experts know better.
