❌ Ireland is not projected to achieve their binding ESR target (requiring MS to reduce domestic GHG emissions covered by the ESR regulation) and the NECP outlines a gap of more than 16%-points. ❌Ireland’s planned or existing policy mix will not be sufficient to meet their national LULUCF targets.

✨New Paper✨ Both Northern Ireland and Ireland's Climate Acts are highly prescriptive laws. Although there are important differences, both climate laws place a heavy emphasis on land use change as a key method of meeting legally binding emission and adaptation targets. ⬇️🎯
