“Verify your age” I learned to type on a typewriter. Eventually, my dad was feeling fancy and got a word processor. By the end of high school, we had acquired a used Commodore computer and this newfangled thing called The Internet! 😲 It made funny noises when connecting, and shared the land line.

Just got my second Shingrix dose 2 days ago! 💃🏻 It’s enough for me that it prevents (or lessens the severity of) Shingles – by all accounts, you REALLY don’t want to experience that. It’s a beautiful icing on the cake that it reduces the likelihood of dementia, an even worse horror. 50+ get vaxxed!

Yesterday at Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, we counted 31 banana slugs along the loop trail. I think this is a new record for us! Of course, there were thousands more we didn’t see.

Does anyone have a strategy for shutting down nasty gossip when it’s an elder that you have to see regularly and be nice to? Every time she corners me and talks shit about people I don’t even know, I feel exhausted and anxious and gross, like I’m complicit even though I don’t encourage her.
