Terry Denton came to my primary school when I was a kid and had time for every one of us and all of our questions. Considering we lived 4 hrs from everywhere it was a big deal when anyone came - visits were brief. His illustrations still remind me of childhood. My thoughts go to his family. Vale TD.

The biggest standout from the time-lapse footage of the NFL game at the G today is just how tiny the NFL fields are. Eye opening. It also explains the stoppages given how little room to move/make decisions these players have.

I love the story and tried to avoid as much info about it as I could before seeing it. I still read and heard some things that had me curious. Seeing it, I was shocked at how much I'd heard and read was wrong, and I absolutely loved the movie. Desperately want to see it again to collect my thoughts.

Fun fact. Fred Fanning turned down a VFL MFC contract to go play for the higher paying Hamilton. Kicks 18 goals in a VFL game. He kicked 22 against Heywood in the Western Border league.

At the time it was incredible. And we used guides in a way in that we shared everything we knew in the schoolyard, hoping to remember it all to put in place when we got home. The game did have a save state. One of the few that did! I loved it then and don't rate it at all now.
