lol I always try to give framegen a shot, and in fairness, Nvidia's framegen does do a good job boosting fluidity, but the visual artifacts from it just never feel worth it to me even in ideal scenarios. Especially the way it interacts with UI elements and shadows and such.

It's not much better with ray tracing either. I guess I could turn it off, but it genuinely looks so good that I keep trying to tough it out and kinda flip flop between a higher resolution with a 30fps cap or a lower resolution with dynamic framegen. I think I prefer 30fps to all of those artifacts.

I wish The Witcher 3 Remastered wasn't so CPU intensive with path tracing. On my PC, even new games with path tracing are normally CPU limited into the high 40s and low 50s as like a worst case scenario, so this remaster of an 11 year old game being bottlenecked into the low 30s sometimes is crazy.

I was literally examining EVERYTHING in the area on Steam Deck, getting the bracelet, pulling the woman from the well, but shit just wasn't loading right or I was unintentionally sequence breaking, and it made the quest impossible. Geralt has a whole sequence of thought that just wasn't hapoening.

I literally started it from the beginning twice on Steam Deck, then after finding out it was definitely bugged, I started AGAIN on my PC and found it there's like a whole sequence of events it just wasn't bringing me through, and that the cutscene where Geralt examines the skeleton was ending early.

Path traced hair :3 Maybe you already know this, but I find that DLSS does a fairly good job at preventing hairworks from looking like shit even when you turn hairworks AA off, and it runs way better for me that way.

It looks so good with path tracing... I was blown away when I jumped from PS5 Pro to PC in that bar near the beginning. Are the later areas much more GPU intensive? I'm surprised you gotta lock to 30fps since I'm getting 30fps at 4K DLSS Performance on a fairly weaker system than yours.

Yeah I'd like to see a community notes-like feature here. Worst I can say about it is that it can be subject to the community's bias, but the amount of times it cleared up misinformation for me outweighs the amount of times it was obviously propagating misinformation.

My plan is still to wait until like AM6 is out and upgrade to the last AM5 X3D CPU, but yeah sometimes I wish I had just gone with an X3D CPU to begin with rather than the 7700X. It felt amazing at first, but it bottlenecks my GPU fairly often after upgrading to the 5070 Ti.
