Hi Friends,

I’m so sad to see the news that HOURCAR has no option but to close its doors.

I’ve been a member for several years and have used HOURCAR to:
- go to work events
- attend medical appointments
- purchase larger items from local businesses
- volunteer at events in the suburbs
- stay overnight at my aunt’s place in Wisconsin

Being an HOURCAR member has let me live without the cost and burden of owning a car myself. This community car share is more efficient and cost-friendly than individual car ownership, especially in neighborhoods like mine.

I hope you will work with HOURCAR and leaders at every level to help keep car share in Minneapolis.

In other Hennepin Ave news some of us who were involved in project advocacy had our own little ribbon cutting a few weeks ago. The new street is a reminder that trying is cool & sometimes pals doing a lot of smart, consistent, unpaid work (I did just a small bit) results in something great
