A photoshop of Palmerston next to a photoshop of Prince.A photo of the real Palmerston (With the face edited on).Ditto of the last photo, but with me.

Happy 8th anniversary to @ee93.bsky.social 's "Thomas and the Fortune Teller" - still one of the greatest #thomasandfriends fan productions ever. Hard to believe I made this 7 years ago...where do the years go? #ttte #tttefanart #rws #railwayseries #thomasthetankengine #fanart
Full image, full colored fanart illustration of the Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends fan-production on Youtube, Thomas and the Fortune Teller, made by user EnterprisingEngine93. At the top half are a stack of three yellow tarot cards with white outlines and crescent moons in each corner with black arch of swirls on top of them, with Thomas the Tank Engine, a blue steam locomotive with a red buffer beam, gray running board top, and black funnel, smokebox and cab roof with yellow windows. He has blue eyes and has a surprised expression with smoke swirling out of Thomas' chimney. At the bottom of the image is a mature looking woman with medium dark skin, long black hair, a purple hair bandana with gold buttons, mauve cape, and white loose shirt with aqua blue bracelets. She is a fortune teller, and has her eyes closed with a clam smile pursing her purple lips. Her desk is mahogany wood and has pink, blue and green marbles, a magic wand, a small red bottle, a large purple bottle, a brown sack, and a yellow book stacked atop a white book. She has her hands over a dark blue crystal ball. All of this is against a dark purple cosmic looking background with various stars shining behind both the fortune teller and Thomas.

"Off to see the world now, Thomas?" "Yes, Edward - I am!" ~Book 2: Thomas and the Breakdown Train. Happy 81st Anniversary to the Railway Series! Here's submission no. 2 for the #RWSESCollab this year in 2026. #ttte #tttefanart #rws #railwayseries #thomasthetankengine #thomasandfriends #fanart
Full image, full colored fanart illustration of the Thomas & Friends story, Thomas and the Breakdown Train, from the Railway Series book, Thomas the Tank Engine. Three parallel railway tracks stretch the full diagonal length of the image, with the background being green, grassy hillsides in a busy country setting. A dark blue steam locomotive with a matching tender named Edward, who's numbered "2", is at a station platform on the right (viewer left) coming directly at the viewer with a very calm, satisfied expression and dark red coaches coupled behind him. He has a headlamp on the top of his smoke box, indicating he's a stopping service train. Having the same head code is a smaller blue steam locomotive with no tender on the track opposite the station platform (viewer right) named Thomas who also has red stripes on his blue boiler, tanks, and cab, and also has a red chassis with a light gray running board. He looks at Edward with laughter, elation and pride, acknowledging Thomas achieved his goal of seeing the world by running his own branch line, as Edward looks on with pride for his student. Smoke swirls out of both locomotives' stacks. A rectangular sign says "KNAPFORD" in san-serif text on the dark gray platform with white edges. The triangular canopy over the platform is green with dark gray wood texture on top of the roof. An orange building houses a brown haired ticket master. On the platform are Edward's fireman, a brown man with dark hair in a dark blue crew uniform, Thomas' driver, a blonde tan man also in the dark blue uniform, a black man in a light brown hat and suit sitting on the bench facing away from the viewer, and a light-skinned elf with silver hair in pigtails sleeping on the bench facing the viewer. Also on the platform is a woman with pinkish-blonde, bob-cut hair, in a gray sweater and periwinkle blue skirt that reaches to her ankles and a small boy with white skin and black hair and a blue T-shirt showing Thomas a book with him on the cover.

#TAFcollab2025 Neil of Fortune Rusty gets frustrated at the thought of the Bluebell valley line closing when Stepney returns to the mainland. While searching for another engine to run the line, he finds someone many thought was lost to time... Happy 41st Thomas and Friends! (story in alts)
“It’s not fair,” complained Rusty. “I do love a good run through the bluebell valley at springtime. But Stepney’s gone home, you see. The line will close without him for sure!”
“It’s no use getting grouchy about it.” said Skarloey. “Being a crosspatch will get you nowhere, it never did for me when I was a young engine.”
The little engine thought back to long ago.
“It’s a shame Neil isn’t around these days. I’m sure he would love to run that line. He’s not very strong you see, not like the big engines we see. He was taken out of service years ago, bless his soul.”So off they set, past the bleak and brooding line of diesels. They soon realised that the box shaped engine letting off steam was not a diesel. All eyes glared at the little engines.
“Where is he going?” the diesels hissed.
“Just down the line!” gulped Rusty.
The diesels took his word and their growls subsided. Rusty quickly guided Neil out of the yard, leaving an eerie chorus of engines purring contentedly in their wake.
“We’ve done it!” cried Neil through exhausted puffs. When Skarloey opened his eyes he was amazed!
“Well bless my soul!” he exclaimed. “If it isn’t Neil!”
“I wouldnae be here if not for yer wee friend.” said Neil.
Skarloey looked at the little diesel.
“You never,”
“I did!” grinned Rusty. “Neil will be perfect for the Bluebell valley.”
“You lucky old engine!” chuckled Skarloey. “Fancy being saved so long after retirement.”
The manager arrived to see what all the commotion was about. He was delighted to see Neil and promised his immediate restoration.

One of my favorite anecdotes from THE PREHISTORY OF THE FAR SIDE: "That doesn't sound like the Jane Goodall we know."
A few days after this cartoon was published, my syndicate received a very indignant letter from someone representing the Jane Goodall Institute.
Not only did my syndicate and I both get read the Riot Act, there was a vague implication that litigation over this cartoon might be around the corner.
I was horrified. Not so much from a fear of being sued (I just couldn't see how this cartoon could be construed as anything but silly, but because of my deep respect for Jane Goodall and her well-known contributions to pri-matology. The last thing in the world I would have intentionally done was offend Dr. Goodall in any way.
Before I had a chance to write my apology, another complication arose.
The National Geographic Society contacted my syndicate and expressed adesire to reprint the cartoon in a special centennial issue of their magazine. My editor, aware of what had just occurred, declined, explaining why.
Apparently, whoever it was that sent the inquiry from National Geographic was shocked. They told my editor that "that doesn't sound like the Jane Goodall we know." They did some checking themselves, and an interesting fact was eventually discovered: Jane Goodall loved the cartoon. Furthermore, she was totally unaware that any of this "stuff" was going on. Some phone calls were made, and the cartoon was not only reprinted in the centennial issue of National Geographic, but was also used by her Institute on a T-shirt for fund-raising purposes.
I've since had an opportunity to visit Dr. Goodall at her research facility in Gombe. It's a wonderful place (sort of like right out of National Geographic).
"To refer to Dr. Goodall as a tramp is inexcusable even by a self-described 'loony' as Larson. The cartoon was incredibly offensive and in such poor taste that readers might well question the editorial judgment of running such an atrocity in a newspaper that reputes to be supplying news to persons with a better than average intelligence. The cartoon and its message were absolutely stupid." —Excerpt from the above-mentioned letter that started the ruckus
