This is the photo I want to frame. I love it (partly 'cause I made it). I don't know why I haven't had it on display before.

I presume this plane is filming for the athletics (and probably not going to Antwerp), but how much will it really see from 28,000 feet?

Someone else posted that they're still using their garden firepit because they're very experienced and know the risks. Aye right.

Obvs I'm biased but blimey. The gov's emergency alert team needs a copywriter. Way too much text! Break it up! You need a 1-2 word headline (Wildfires!), then an obvious call to action ("do not use..."). THEN you can go into the whole "even a small flame" thing.

According to the NHS there isn't enough evidence that I have ADHD because my parents said I'm fine.
What time you off on holiday, mom and dad? Off now, ish. Mom just making a couple of dresses

Someone started up some loud garden machinery just as this (already weird sounding) plane went over and for a terrifying second I thought we were done for.

Cleethorpes beach, January 2007. The sky is very dark but the grey, wet beach is reflecting sunlight from somewhere. Far ahead, a couple with a dog are silhouetted against the sand, but the beach is otherwise deserted.

Rather confusing/worrying messages from our street WhatsApp group this morning.
Half of the neighbours are talking about a fox and the other half are talking about a dishwasher repair man. It's unclear which one pooed on Ruth's patio.

PSA: most "packing peanuts" (not sure what else to call them!) are water soluble these days. They're made of plant starches and will completely dissolve in water. It's very satisfying.

Post you from a different era. Moseley, 1999 (Bootcut jeans! Terracotta walls! A futon! A magazine rack!)
The author, in jeans and a black top, stands with her legs planted firmly apart and hands behind her back, leaning down to peer into the camera. It's all a bit 90s indie music video tbh.
