Listed a keyboard on FB marketplace, it got flagged as 'counterfeit' for some reason, and these are the only options I have for a review of the listing.
Facebook Marketplace popup for requesting a review of a rejected listing. The listing was rejected for the reason 'Counterfeits'.

There is a label 'What should we know about your listing? Choose the option that explains why your listing follows our rules." The radio buttons to answer are "It's not offensive in my religion", "It was to raise awareness", or "it was a joke". You can't proceed without selecting one of the 3 options.

It’s just a bizarre name but I guess americans are out there living their lives names buddy

Is it too much of a stretch to think there being a character named ‘buddy’ in coyote vs acme could be an animal man reference? Or am I going full pepe silvia
Final page of Grant Morrison’s animal man issue about the coyote where animal man is observing the coyote lying crucified on a crossroad beneath the hand of the artist

I can never think of the name of spider lilies so I was recently trying to describe them as 'those spindly red flowers that show up in japanese things when something bad happens'

I feel like people never think to go to customer support because they assume they have to configure everything themselves, which is why I always say take advantage! You’re a paying customer, get your money’s worth

Cassie Selin @echidnite.bsky.social · 16/09/2026
BTW with issues like SSL issues, I usually just say go straight to your host's customer support because they all manage it somewhere different in their UI and it's just easier to get them to troubleshoot it, lol

Cassie Selin @echidnite.bsky.social · 16/09/2026
Your site needs to be set up to use https -meaning it needs an SSL certificate - to avoid a security warning! How to set this up depends a bit on your hosting set up, but it looks like it might be good now? Might have taken a minute to be generated/installed or updated

And try not to limit the heights of elements so that things can flow vertically if the text doesn't all fit - you ideally must allow users to zoom and increase the font size without the layout breaking. Godspeed and good luck 🫡

It is! I'd suggest using a base font size that is fluid, using clamp - Like seting your body font size to something like clamp(12px, calc(10px + 2vw), 24px); - then using rems to scale the fonts and cards throughout your site.

Cassie Selin @echidnite.bsky.social · 16/09/2026
Oh and because you tied all your font sizes to viewport units you literally can't zoom to make things more readable - big WCAG nono as well!

Cassie Selin @echidnite.bsky.social · 16/09/2026
This is mostly accessibility nitpicks, I'd recommend opening the page in chrome and using the lighthouse tool to get some detailed feedback! As a person who likes to open lots of small landscape browser windows, the crazy tiny font size is the main pain point haha
120
Cassie Selin @echidnite.bsky.social · 16/09/2026
Make sure all your images either have descriptive alt text (this is required by WCAG if the image acts as a link) or a blank alt text attribute (alt="") to communicate that they've either got meaningful content or are decorative.
120
Cassie Selin @echidnite.bsky.social · 16/09/2026
Also your image links - there's no way to determine the game images are links unless you hover or tab to them - and there's no alt text! A visual indicator of which image are links and which aren't would help, on mobile with no hover cursor feedback I can't tell the difference.

Cassie Selin @echidnite.bsky.social · 16/09/2026
using clamp() can be good for managing font sizes that are fluid otherwise

Cassie Selin @echidnite.bsky.social · 16/09/2026
very cute!! if I can give feedback, you've got a handful of accessibility issues - you've definitely used some very small, low contrast, light-weight fonts that really impact readability. Tying font size to vh but not having a min size is not great, in a small little window the text is micro
Screenshot of Mei-li's site in the browser window I happened to use for it, the game platform text is micro

It's so rare. I don't have an example, but I was surprised that in Hi-fi Rush the main character was shown with a nonspecifically disabled normal arm in the intro before he gets it replaced. Usually characters just show up with a robot arm or it's lost in some narratively dramatic way.

The bit in a historical drama where someone is telling the main character that history will forget them, but here I am, watching a show about them? One of the best bits you can do!

“Just like… craftsmen that were replaced by assembly line workers… we feel a profound sense of loss. We grieve that a skill, that we spent half a lifetime honing, is not being valued…anymore… We’re saddened that [this] results in lower quality work, and that a lot of people just don’t seem to care.”

Citing a translation of a Greek myth? Getting real boss baby vibes
000
Cassie Selin @echidnite.bsky.social · 06/05/2026
Not to be the guy who’s only seen boss baby but I’m literally reading House of Leaves at the same time as This Year and today’s song and especially annotation in This Year had me thinking I was reading House of Leaves again for a sec.
Photo of today’s page of This Year for the song ‘the house that dripped blood’ - “There's this famous scene in the Agamemnon of Aeschylus, the "car-pet scene," lines 783-974. Agamemnon, returning triumphant from Troy, is invited by Clytemnestra to enter his house via the red carpet which is not actually a carpet but elaborate and expensive robes spread on the floor). Agamemnon resists-"To trample ornate beauty is / For me a thing I'd be afraid to do" (tr. Andrew Wilson) —but only for a page or two, and then tramples the ornate robes right into the house of Atreus, which will devour him, because those aren't rugs or robes, they're the hungry tongues of Tantalus. The house in Tallahassee isn't a palace in Argos, but it still has an appetite. In its original draft, this was called "Blood Song," and while I'm usually not too” (page ends here)How I am reading this year and listening to the accompanying song, which is on an iPad mini sitting on top of my copy of house of leaves

Detroit of course has a pretty blatant set of good and bad endings, but any moment when 2 PCs are in conflict and the game lets you decide who you're gonna take control of, changing the other from one of your avatar into an enemy, is sick in my opinion

Cassie Selin @echidnite.bsky.social · 15/04/2026
I feel like the E33 ending is less asking "who's right?" and more asking "who's story is this, for you? Who's ending, who's goals, do you want to see through?" Which I really like. (See also, Neir Automata, Detroit)
