Still pretty proud of these freehanded decals, which are the only ones I've ever done I've never used a transfer. Don't like them. I want to have my stuff actually painted on. Can I do this a hundred times? We will see

Please do not do patch notes like this for a 6.9gb patch

180

Doug , Space Wolf @ebonscale.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

This? I dont think they would fit well without a lot of work. its an option but not an ideal one i think. Will keep it in mind though, I would also have to see it scaled cause the wings I think would look really small

010

Doug , Space Wolf @ebonscale.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

I have a daemon prince for my thousand sons army, but I REALLY want him to have feathered wings Lord of Change wings look choice and appropriately scaled but I really don't want to spend almost $200 USD for an extra wing pair

These marines aren't hard to build but the sprue connector points are almost always on a curved surface The subsequent multiple layers of sanding means just assembling one of them is like a 45 minute job I haven't even done mold line cleanup yet 😔

Doug , Space Wolf @ebonscale.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

I should get back to my cursed city/soulblight gravelords one day I was painting really well then

First Terran Marine assembled and ready for a test scheme!

0251

Doug , Space Wolf @ebonscale.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

Ok the terrain marines from the StarCraft starter set aren't bad to assemble but holy shitty sprue design batman Putting a connector point RIGHT ON TOP of a tiny, barely raised sculpted detail

040

Doug , Space Wolf @ebonscale.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

went to the hobby store before work and got some Vallejo TMM paints to do my Terran Marines in. Gonna test the scheme out today see if I like it Thought it would be a good way to differentiate from my Warhammer stuff and also match that on game shiny/candy coat look they tend to have more

Before and after of a two day grill restoration. Love this grill so wanted to refresh it. Wired and sanded the rust down, washed, primed, and recoated with all high heat stuff. Still need to fire and cure it but happy with how beautiful it looks again

Entry for the "Upgrades, people, upgrades!" #DragonsLairPaintingChallenge by @andycruns.bsky.social "Beware the whirlsquig"

An orange squig mini with black claws and a toothy grin has a tau rocket pod mounted on its back and a cracked targeting scope on its shoulder. One side of the pod has Squig written on it in Tau, the other has an ork idol in green.

It’s bounding over dusty red earth

“It will make you stronger.” they told Xavier.

“You won’t get into trouble that much after the procedure.” they promised him.

“You will serve the Emperor as best as you can.” they persuaded him.

“It’s going to be the best version of yourself, you’ll see.” they concluded.

X-101 remembers almost nothing of Xavier anymore.

Entry for the "Upgrades, people, upgrades!" #DragonsLairPaintingChallenge by @curiousthorns.bsky.social "Hit em with the big hammer"

An Ultramarine from Warhammer 40k swinging a large, kitbashed, experimental thunder hammer. Its exposed wiring and glowing hot metal is clearly tech heresy.

The rear of the model shows the Space Marines’ power pack, and purity seal attached to their belt ammo pouches.

The flamer is still glowing from use, with the fire light illuminating the Space Marines facial cybernetics and his grim expression.

Even with his armour, the Space Marine has to take a wide stance to balance the weight of the modified hammer against their red-hot flamer
