FINALLY I made time to work in Artfight! This time is a revenge for @ebee.bsky.social and her amazing character Echo! #Artfight #TeamCrystals

Digital drawing of the head/face of a pup-like creature showing its snake-like tongue and smiling at the viewer. Its eyes are yellow and it has droopy but upright ears. Their body is mainly yellow and orange with several patterns such as dots, with different colors such as grey and light-blue. The background is dark orange and yellow.

Yeah I have used the page option for thumbnails on kofi but it feels weird and I don’t like that I wasn’t able to fix it when the pages uploaded out of order. And something about the lay out idk. I think I’ll dust off the old patreon soon. Thanks!!

Idk much about it, if I want to go thru with the hassle. I want it private up until I’ve finished chapter 5 to have a sizable buffer, and because that’s where I discontinued my comic the last time. Kofi doesn’t seem like the best place for pages, maybe patreon works better for that kind of thing?

130

EBee 🐝 @ebee.bsky.social · 13/07/2025

Just thinking out loud here, about making a discord for my comic but how to do it 🤔 my comic will be publicly available eventually but I want to put the newest pages behind like a 1 dollar paywall. Wips, roughs, thumbs would be free. I have a kofi but maybe a patreon would work better for this? Hmm

Sorry I forgot to alt text here. First - a cat in a hat unwraps the head injury of the cat it found. They are shocked to find it has almost fully recovered, it has even regenerated an eye and an ear. Second - the hat cat calls it a miracle, they dash off panel to prepare for the cat to wake up.

020

EBee 🐝 @ebee.bsky.social · 13/07/2025

Sorry for not alt texting the previous images, sometimes the app reminds me - like I have it set to do - and other times it doesn’t and I get too excited and submit too fast. Here are the last of the roughs (+ one edit) I’m adding to chapter 1. Now to get into the weeds with it. Wish me luck! 🍀

Cat wakes up confused and is exuberantly greeted by the cat who tried to give her medical treatment

Cat eats from a box while other cat dashes away. Zoom out to an image of the city from above and from a distance. Mysterious smoke permeates the air originating from the eating cat.

3 more cats arrive to confront the cat in the hat. The cat reaches for a bag he thinks will help the situation. The angriest of the 3 new cats lifts its claws threateningly.

The angry cat tears the bag open and items hit the floor. The cat in the hat tries to explain something. The 3 angry cats do not seem pleased by his words.

Work is boring right now so I’m gonna share these roughs of some pages I’m trying to work into my preexisting thumbnails. I’ve done a lot of work on my script lately.

Rough sketch of a cat in a hat looking at his reflection in a puddle

Rough sketch of a skinny cat in a hat wondering about another bigger cats injury attempting to hear their pulse or breath or sign of life they look sad

This week on #RunawayToTheStars: attempts to flee, faces Gillie's wrath, and admits the truth. Catch up: runawaytothestars.com Read ahead: patreon.com/jayrockin

Idrisah and Gillie watch in surprise as Talita abruptly begins to turn around and head for the door, panicking. Talita: S- sorry, I still don't think I'm... ready... I'll come by later!! Gillie flushes with anger and leaps across the couch to grab Talita’s shirt sleeve. SFX: GRAB Talita stops walking and looks back at her in shock. Gillie is furious, ears flattened back, short white tail bristling. Gillie: (ASL) Do you want my help with sign or not!?

Gillie: (ASL) I'm not going to keep offering if you're gonna walk out every time! You’re being so fucking rude! Talita, hunched on all sixes, cringes away from Gillie's anger as her face begins to bristle with shame. Gillie: (ASL) If you don’t want to sign, I won’t force you. But I hate relying on this buggy app to talk to you! Idrisah awkwardly stands behind the couch with her bowl of fried crickets, politely looking away from the confrontation with a nervous sweat breaking out on her forehead. Gillie: (ASL) I don’t get it!! You’ve clearly gone out of your way to learn comprehension. Is this a pity project that you’re too bored with to finish?! Gillie slumps on down on the arm of the couch, looking at her phone as she waits for Talita to reply. Talita sits, quietly staring at her with an expression of devastation. Talita: No, I’m… She struggles to extract the words for what she's feeling. Talita: Embarrassed.

Gillie: (ASL) Why?? Gillie looks back to her phone angrily. Idrisah walks closer, looking apologetically between Gillie and Idrisah. Idrisah: Talita, it's a language that was never intended for your body. We won't judge you if you struggle to pick it up. Talita: I’m going to judge myself. Gillie sneers. Gillie: (ASL) For what!? Not being human? Talita cringes as if she'd been struck. She makes an admission as heavy as it is small. Talita: Yes.

Humdinger doing a pouty pout, sitt'n pick'n at da grass in a rain 💧 💧 💧

Humdinger, a small dragon-person with horns, emo bangs, a back-pack, long tail, claws, and snub nose, sitting on the ground, where there are small puddles, tufts of grass. He has a hawk on his head looking a bit apologetic and smiling. It is raining lightly. The clouds are low, billowy. In the background the grass is overgrown. The image is black and white with stark shadows. Humdinger looks down at his claws in the dirt and grass while he gets wet. He looks bummed out.

I finished half an art trade with @piichykeen.bsky.social recently! Had a blast just letting loose and stepping out of my comfort zone at the same time 💗

A mysterious woman in ornamental, religious-esque (catholic?) styled clothing, donning a veil, tight fitting dress/uniform, and claw-tipped gloves, she brandishes her right hand stoically. Behind her is a canine-like beast the size of a large bear, its eyes are shielded with a shaggy forelock, a messy mane covers its neck into its back, at the base of its throat is a secondary, gaping mouth, and the bottom jaw of its dog-like muzzle is split into two separate functional jaws with their own tongues, its mouths are wide open, its two tongues are curling. A large hand-like paw hovers over the woman's hand ominously, with massive claws. The drawing is pencil textured with a green tint, very sketchy with some areas more refined/detailed. The woman is much darker and contrasted against the paler beast behind her, she is outlined in white.

Finally finished this one. The other cats that live in the alley with my characters Ebee and Quince. Real fun bunch. Very inclusive and supportive, really.

A page of drawings of 4 cats rendered in pencil style with black and white. Axel, a disinterested male fluffy Persian-like cat, wearing a chain around his tail. Vera, a snobby looking sphynx-like cat, with a scarf draped around her back, neck, and chest. Milo, a spunky young looking male cat earing fingerless gloves on all four feet. Theo, a tired, no business looking male cat with a watch around his neck like a collar. Milo and Theo are brothers. Vera and Axel are a match set.
