Good news everyone - "Lord of Excess" is out! The gap left by Josh Reynolds was never going to be filled until now (St.Martin is nice, though, really like his Lucius). Now we have someone new who wants to try the EC - Rich McCormick. And his first short story was already impressive. #Warhammer

And onward to the next work in progress. My Word Bearers Raptor. I started with the metals and gave them a gradient from silver to bronze. Then a Khorne Red basecoat for the armour. Rest will be done next weekend. I hope! No place for my Warhammer hobby stuff on my desk during work week.

Two lorge bois and their little Servo Skull-friend. Painting Salamanders is fun. But my next one will be a Word Bearers Raptor. And, damn, will he be difficult! So many little swirls and edges and fancy-edgy parts. I'm not sure how to tackle him, yet. I guess I'll start with the metal parts.

My first squad of Astartes is done. Salamanders! (My taste is very wide-ranging and extends from the spicy flavour of Emperor's Children and Word Bearers to the sweet smokyness of Vulkan's boys)

I'm painting biblically correct Paz'uz right now (not done). I'm drawing him very different from how Beasts of Nurgle look like as minis. A friend said they are like pufferfish. My drawings are the resting state, the miniature is all puffed up in attack mode. I'm going with this explanation now.
