Exciting to see my interview with John Yargo for the New Books Network go live! It was fun to talk about the genesis of my Teaching Shakespeare's Theatre of the World project in the pandemic and how it ultimately took shape as an exercise in perspective. Enjoy! podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/k...

I asked Copilot to generate an image based on my thoughts about this morning's writing efforts. I specifically mentioned fruit salad - perhaps because I dropped the plot, or I am hungry for breakfast. But the composition freakishly captures a hermeneutic crux I'm thinking about. I dig it. #amwriting

Received a lovely thank-you from a student; it was cheering and inspiring. BEST of all is that their Christmas list included an edition of Spenser's FQ! We read a couple of cantos in different classes, but they wanted the full edition. Family thought they were mad. I am thrilled.

Every time I drag Intro to DH students kicking and screaming through a TEI encoding project, I think: "I'm never doing this again." And then I read their metacognitive reflections about how their reading and writing practices have changed, and how proud they are of themselves. I'm a sucker.
