Berkeley's health insurance carrier for students changed. In late August, I got an email with my new vision and dental ID numbers. In early September, I got an identical email with different numbers. Today I went to the dentist. Neither number was correct.

As big a BART fan as the next guy, but between the speakerphone convos, headphoneless TikTok scrollers, and regular ambient BART noise, it can be really unpleasant if you don't have some solid ANC headphones. My headphones are usually OK but my little Anker sport earbuds can't compete.

I am also including a clause forbidding unauthorized audio/visual recordings of section, with links to the relevant state laws. I'm also (reluctantly) forbidding screens in section, except in cases of DSP accommodation. I am doing this to protect myself and to protect the privacy of my students.

Bumped back my filing date to December for job-related reasons, not dissertation-related reasons. I lived in dread that this would happen, but assumed it'd be because I had somehow failed to finish the dissertation on time. In fact, it is essentially done. I need to fix, like, two footnotes.
