The bill has been opened to feedback. Rather than dooming about the proposal, you can tell them exactly how you feel about the act here. ec.europa.eu/info/law/bet... With how much of an uphill battle Chat Control is having, you should never assume it's worthless to fight these draconian bills.

I *think* Itchio still allows nsfw art packs but you can only use paypal to purchase them. Also if the total size is larger than 2 GB you have to upload it with the command line tool Butler or the Itchio app.

A lot of people assume FA is profitable. If that were the case we wouldn't have needed a GFM when Neer passed to keep it out of probate. It's been two years. The funds were used. FA is struggling financially. And I am 🌟s t r e s s e d🌟 I'm scared to ask for help, I feel like no matter how much-

Don't worry all you have to do to understand MOBAs is play the entirety of Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and The Frozen Throne DLC. Pros: One of the best, if not THE best RTS game ever made. Cons: It's made by Blizzard Entertainment. Also they're now owned by Microsoft.

People would still pay just to support you and to have the art without FA compression! But yeah, if you wanted to make your own archive site that sounds awesome too. If you wanted something quick and easy you could spin up a HUGO website with this theme: themes.gohugo.io/themes/hugo-...

Doing artpacks of your old art separated by year might be a good idea. It lets you remonetize old work and acts as a handy archive/portfolio of what you've done.

If the law is going to say that ideas are property, it should be taxed like property is in the real world. And the longer you hold unto it, the higher the taxes go until it's released into the public domain.

It's very obvious to me that Skydance Animation's whole shtick is to be David Ellison's culture war revenge fantasy against "woke Hollywood", which is why they were so gung-ho about hiring Lasseter after being fired from Pixar for sexual harassment.

Safer for Teens, Same Discord for Adults
We’re launching a revamped, privacy-focused age assurance solution including methods that won’t require an ID or selfie. Here’s how it works.

Tomorrow, Discord will place everyone into an age group using account signals. They claim 90% of users won't have to confirm their age. They are also introducing new verification methods if you do need to verify that you are an adult, including Credit Cards and App Stores.
More than 90% of you won’t be asked to confirm your age. Since our last post about teen safety, we've had to launch age assurance solutions in more places, including Texas and Brazil. Laws requiring age assurance are expanding around the world. Rather than waiting to be told how to do it, we’re launching our own privacy-preserving approach: one that reflects your feedback.
You can check your age group status at User Settings > Account Status. We've estimated your age group automatically from account signals like how long your account has existed or the kinds of servers you're a part of. We don’t look at your messages, calls, or other content. We're launching this over the course of this week, so it may take a few days to reach your account.
If you're in the adult age group (18+), nothing changes. If you're in the teen age group (13-17), you can keep messaging friends, joining voice calls, and participating in non-age-restricted servers, but with additional safety protections that block age-restricted content, spaces, and settings. Otherwise, Discord works the same. More on this below.
We've added several new ways to confirm your age, including some that don't require an ID or selfie (including credit cards). If you're an adult but weren't automatically placed in the adult age group, you can confirm your age group at any time by going to User Settings > Account Status. More on the new options below.

People would probably be a bit more comfortable with that kind of surveillance if it was made law that footage can only be accessed *and* stored by municipal govs from cameras within their jurisdiction, and state and federal govs would be required to get warrants.

Dysonym @dysonym.bsky.social · 18/09/2026
I think for a lot of people Flock cameras represent the final death of local vs federal jurisdiction. It's not just the fact that they're live feed surveillance, but that footage can be centrally stored and accessed from anywhere. Kind of defeats the point of federalism and separation of authority.

I assume this was supposed to be a gotcha of "Oh, why didn't you code the engine yourself huh? Checkmate Luddite!" The main gripe with AI gen code isn't the laziness, it's plagiarism. I can use Godot and point people to a list of contributors and what they wrote. That doesn't happen with Claude.

Anyways, Pinta is a drop-in replacement for Paint.NET that runs on Windows, Mac, *and* Linux. It's also open source, unlike Paint.NET. www.pinta-project.com
A Bluesky post by Rick Brewster, creator of Paint.NET.

"Thanks to Claude Code, it's now a reality. More story in the link above."

"It's buggy and slow, but real progress is being made."

"And I have no idea when/if this will be "production ready" or "supported" or even "good enough." Maybe next year, maybe next month, maybe 2035."

Dated 11:25 PM · Aug 31, 2026The landing page for the Pinta website.

"Painting made simple."

"powerful. precise. open-source".

"Pinta is a free, open-source program for drawing and image editing. It combines intuitive tools with powerful features, making it easy to create, enhance, and manipulate images. Whether you're sketching or retouching photos, Pinta keeps things simple without sacrificing functionality."

"Available on Linux, Mac, Windows, and *BSD, it’s creative freedom made easy."
