Reminder to those interested in buying this game who'd rather it not show up in steam friends/community messages!

I've seen another brand of these kind of things. It's cornflakes and caramelized white chocolate bits put around ice cream to give the illusion of a chicken drumstick.

Anyways, Pinta is a drop-in replacement for Paint.NET that runs on Windows, Mac, *and* Linux. It's also open source, unlike Paint.NET. www.pinta-project.com
A Bluesky post by Rick Brewster, creator of Paint.NET.

"Thanks to Claude Code, it's now a reality. More story in the link above."

"It's buggy and slow, but real progress is being made."

"And I have no idea when/if this will be "production ready" or "supported" or even "good enough." Maybe next year, maybe next month, maybe 2035."

Dated 11:25 PM · Aug 31, 2026The landing page for the Pinta website.

"Painting made simple."

"powerful. precise. open-source".

"Pinta is a free, open-source program for drawing and image editing. It combines intuitive tools with powerful features, making it easy to create, enhance, and manipulate images. Whether you're sketching or retouching photos, Pinta keeps things simple without sacrificing functionality."

"Available on Linux, Mac, Windows, and *BSD, it’s creative freedom made easy."

There's always a bunch of theories and rationalizations we can make for why we have these kinds of desires, but in the end, it can all be summarized like this:

Gotta be honest, we need less "protest voting" and more raising awareness on how the US and UK voting system is fundamentally broken, and advocating for a better one. (This video is about the UK elections in *2015*. 🫩)

A friend suggested one of those old fashioned money scales people used to weigh coins.

I *think* they still exist but just under the name "golden chocolate creme Oreos". I don't know if you'll be able to find them in your area though.

Right wing people yelled about this chump being arrested for this post, but even under U.S first amendment law, making a direct incitement of violence to punch trans people in the balls is, surprise! Illegal! But most people today would say outlawing a religious text with the same message is wrong.

It's still crazy to me that there's an entire game genre out there where if you want to understand at least 1/3rd of what it's about, you have to play a Blizzard game from 2002.

After reading Beastars, Zootopia's world building just falls pretty flat, but it does have a few great moments. I like the concept of the city being built around a watering hole in reference to real predator/prey drinking from the same place without attacking each other.

I'm not sure who you're rebutting but I think the word they're looking for is "Mercantile". To be fair, sometimes it can be a bit disillusioning to go to a place for escapism and be met with a bunch of people trying to sell you something.

Unfortunately a lot of the early reviews released today seem to be implying it's going to be priced more in the gaming PC range... for something you can't really upgrade. The Steam Machine might just be cursed at this point.

If you punish injustice but don't reward restoring justice, you give people no incentive to better themselves.
A tumblr post from user "olofahere". It reads:

"Do not punish the behavior you want to see.

I mean, it seems pretty obvious when you put it like that, right?

But how many families, when an introvert sibling or child makes an effort to socialize, snarkily say, “So, you’ve decided to join us”?

Or when someone does something they’ve had trouble doing, say, “Why can’t you do that all the time?” (Happened to me, too often.)

Or any sentence containing the word “finally”.

If someone makes a step, a small step, in a direction you want to encourage, encourage it. Don’t complain about how it’s not enough. Don’t bring up previous stuff. Encourage it.

Because I swear to fucking god there is nothing more soul-killing, more motivation-crushing, than struggling to succeed and finding out that success and failure are both punished."

Ehhh, disagree. If you punish injustice but don't reward restoring justice, you give people no incentive to better themselves.

VRChat Inc. might not see or keep any of your PII but Persona Identities Inc. will, and it would have to be tracible back to your account. Even if you have full trust in authority and believe this would never be abused by a higher power, what happens when a data breach targets *them*?
