Well, the long rumoured Dylan 'unplugged performances finally took place at the Supper Club in New York. This is a very small venue, holding about 400 people! Two shows each day. on the 16th and 17th November, and filmed for a future video/TV release. The tickets were free and given away at Tower Records....gee, thanks Bob for thinking of us. (How about filming four showsat'TheLounge or The Continental Cafe??? I believe the scalpers were asking $400 (US) for tickets. I know people who left the UK and Europe and arrived in New York at 5pm, no hotel, no ticket and no money. BUT they got to the show!!
Now THAT is dedication....and hustling. I take my hat off to these people.

There's a rehearsal take of Dylan's "Changing of the Guards" in which the line "'neath a heart-shaped tattoo, renegade priests..." goes "neath a heart-sharped tattoo - rock and roll!" It takes the song out of the Dungeons n' Dragons Tarot vibe and makes it a Jim Steinman song. It kinda rules.
