Media art as a genre of fine art has not only existed since the 60s it has been collected and exhibited in world famous galleries and museums. Conceptual art and avant garde literally articulated their mission as removing any human presence from their work. You are talking about COMMERCIAL ART

I don't really care if what agents are doing can be called reason or thought as long as I can impute value in some shape or form onto what is produced. Intent, motivation, impetus, sentience don't matter. I can like market-driven Hollywood entertainment for same reason
