dave walsh @dvewlsh.com · 18/08/2026The funniest thing about slop posters is they're so bad at slop posting. What a cool local business! Barf. 061
dave walsh @dvewlsh.com · 11/08/2026See? That graph has bloated bass, entirely too much eargain and is way too bright with a wild rolloff in the upper air region. 010

dave walsh @dvewlsh.com · 02/12/2025Also, here's 2023's graph. $500-$1k was like 15 books. Anyone else see a trend here? www.writtenwordmedia.com/survey-resul... 110
dave walsh @dvewlsh.com · 02/12/2025Every year, Written Word Media releases their author survey findings, and here's the thing. The amount of books released per author has skyrocketed, and the amount earned has gone down. In 2024 under 20 books was $1k/mo. Now it's 30 books. That's fucking wild. 171

dave walsh @dvewlsh.com · 14/09/2025What poster did you have hanging in your room as a kid? So, this show got like one season and the toys were in the clearance aisle, so my dad bought me all of them. They came with these posters and made a big ole image. Had it up until we moved when I was 15. 140
dave walsh @dvewlsh.com · 25/08/2025A lovely signed version of @thomasha.bsky.social's Uncertain Sons from @undertow.bsky.social has made it to my mailbox today. Have you ordered your copy yet? It's stellar. 2153

dave walsh @dvewlsh.com · 06/08/2025Original quote in the front of Iconoclast was Gkar. Changed it because I don't trust WB (not that anyone will notice, but still), and swapped to Carlin as my old band quoted Carlin clips and his estate's response to our request was "who gives a shit? Do whatever you want." 020
dave walsh @dvewlsh.com · 02/08/2025I'm not letting this one go. Almost 2am, dark room, headphones. Gotta do it. 010
dave walsh @dvewlsh.com · 31/07/2025Okay, it's probably time to up the difficulty. I haven't had a failed run in a few days now. I had the advanced edition off for a while because the boss ship has four shield bubbles, but even with it on I'm doing really well. 000

dave walsh @dvewlsh.com · 29/07/2025The #discourse around Murakami has only intensified with time. Is he problematic? Is he aloof? Is he overrated? Are his translations specifically guided by western publishers to appeal in a certain way? This book felt like his most earnest about himself and his work. I love it. 000
dave walsh @dvewlsh.com · 28/07/2025I don't think this is many's favorite Philip K. Dick, and I loved this book when I was younger. The older I get and more I know about the author, the more I view his books differently. That being said, this book is madness and blurs lines between reality and fiction so well. 210
dave walsh @dvewlsh.com · 28/07/2025I've always liked STJM's books, but they've never really stuck with me until this one. Weaving in parts of Station Eleven and Glass Hotel together into a daring narrative made for one helluva book. 100
dave walsh @dvewlsh.com · 28/07/2025A strange, touching book that's such a great meditation on grief. I was so upset that Saunders hadn't released another full length, so I'm very pumped he's got one coming out soon. 120
dave walsh @dvewlsh.com · 28/07/2025There's so much in this book. I failed at reading it when I was younger, but came back to it in 2023. Just an immense achievement. Progressive, hilarious, weird, gross, thoughtful, and so many other superlatives. 100
dave walsh @dvewlsh.com · 28/07/2025I'll recommend this book until I'm blue in the face. The writing is staggering (by proxy, so is the English translation). It's an unflinching look at poverty, bigotry and how complicated extreme poverty is. Each chapter is just one glorious, massive sentence. It's like being on a rollercoaster. 100
dave walsh @dvewlsh.com · 28/07/2025I won't lie, I've had a weird two days, but a few weeks ago I picked up playing FTL again. Today I got my second victory, the first was probably over ten years ago when the game came out. 3131

dave walsh @dvewlsh.com · 21/07/2025Iconoclast; or, the Death and Resurrection of Lazarus Keaton is available now. A ridiculous, near-future cyberpunk neo-noir explores what happens when the ultra-wealthy get to do whatever they want. Of course, regular people need to fight back. And they do. links.dvewlsh.info/oyl6dzs9v9 1147
