Happy Spooky Season! 🎃 👻 🍂 🍬🧛🏻‍♂️💀🎃 I really like #Halloween. I don’t go too crazy, but I like putting up some #festive decor. My favorite thing though, is handing out candy. Halloween is one of those community holidays I really wish wasn’t fizzling out or being moved to malls and parking lots. 😢

Serious post: drug advertising is so misleading. I rely on a medication that regularly is shown in ads and the comments get tiring. With all those side effects? Why even take that stuff? Because if I don’t risk the side effects of this medication I risk losing my ability to function. #Disability

This was the phrase I said out loud that finally broke me.

I have theories on why I feel this way. But the truth is: this is hard to admit and talk about. I said that out of desperation on the phone with my job supervisor in the parking lot of my doctor’s office.

I don’t like to be pessimistic or post overly negative things often. I prefer keeping my posts light and encouraging as it’s so easy to get pulled into a rage-bait undertow in places like this.

Disability isn’t the end. It’s hard, it’s unfair, and it’s frustrating. It’s a change.

I’m adapting and I’m trying my best.

I didn’t choose this, but I can make the decisions needed to accept and work towards my own betterment.

If there’s one tip I think helped me the most, it’s to make the bed daily. Having a comfortable, made bed to get into at night changed my sleep habits for the better. The first step to easier #cleaning is having the right tools. I was able to do some quick “sweeping” today with a little mini vac with a detachable stick handle. I recommend looking for one that is lightweight with a straightforward mechanism in a price point suitable for your budget.
