I find it completely asinine that a manager for AT&T can’t reactivate service at an address that was fully connected a couple hours ago…

It's totally DHH/Rails' thing. I tried it once last year seeing if it made since for a pure Rails app. I didn't like it. Way too verbose to do simple stuff. You're better off grabbing Alpine.

Close - basically don't repeat the same element. So first time through, outer loop starts at the beginning of the array, inner loop starts at the next element. You shouldn't out of bounds the array looping.

Dev Challenge - can you write a double for loop where the inner loop is offset by 1 in your primary language? No Google, no AI

My sister + her husband live there so I kinda do 😂

Such a good book! Made my laugh and cry. Been recommending this to anyone that will listen.

Not an unreasonable take. I think with our Chat connected directly to the work, it feels a lot better. I know some of my teammates have said they enjoy things more with it involved. You should check it out again when you have a chance. ;)

Have you checked out ClickUp Chat? (Disclaimer: I work on that team)

For a second I read that as "The only thing that I've had today..." and I was about to be like "Homer, get you some food!"

Did I just miss you in the 313 or is this in the 404?

I’m sorry, Kelly. I hope things turn around for you soon.

Had a wonderful reunion with @sarahronau.bsky.social! Always great seeing friends around the holidays. 😊

You trying to take @robocel.bsky.social’s job?

I was just telling my in-laws how I’m going to start my kids on the NES and gameboy so they can appreciate what they have. Tell her that was a quality game!

I like the Garlic Reaper. Definitely would put that on my eggs and tacos

Never mind - just spotted this beauty in the back. Have you tried Apollo though? Much better IMO

Was noticing my very beefy custom desktop starting to be sluggish running WSL + VSCode and wondered why. Since when do Chrome + WSL take 16GB of RAM to run idle.... I get that memory is getting cheaper but there is no reason I need more than 16GB for standard operations.

Today was interesting. Stress tested some features by pinging 1000 ppl in the middle of the day. Expected mostly a dead response and got a bunch of replies in return further stress testing the system and winning. 🤩

It’s a good choice. Of the big 3, Bleach is the only one I’m fully caught up on but Naruto is the only other one I tried. Definitely find a watch list so you skip filler. But also, if you’re about to invest in a 800+ episode series, maybe jump on One Piece before the new sub model drops

Dustin Goodman @dustingoodman.dev · 08/12/2024

I think there are other stories that live up but definitely an anime that belongs on a top tier list

110

Dustin Goodman @dustingoodman.dev · 08/12/2024

Did you start recently or did you have to wait like most of us? AoT definitely a great show but man the ending was so drawn out for me it almost ruined the show.

110

Dustin Goodman @dustingoodman.dev · 08/12/2024

I don’t know what you’re saying… most of this is today relevant. If your “10 years ago” comment is strictly about the global npm install, fair. Needs a modern approach. I personally use brew to install the CLI. Gotta recognize though most ppl doing this stuff for the first time need ez mode

020

Dustin Goodman @dustingoodman.dev · 08/12/2024

Also, if you’ve never played with the Angular CLI for component/service/module bootstrapping, you’re seriously missing out on why this is the recommendation

110

Dustin Goodman @dustingoodman.dev · 08/12/2024

I’m not familiar enough to say this with 100% confidence, but Angular vite doesn’t seem to support Angular’s production build modes out of the box so you’re steering ppl in a bad direction by sending them away from the framework recommendations.

110

Dustin Goodman @dustingoodman.dev · 08/12/2024

The way your post reads you said to not use the recommended path by the core team and use a vite installer via bun. If you said to do, “npx @angular/cli@<version> new <project-name>”, completely different convo. However… (cont)

100

Dustin Goodman @dustingoodman.dev · 08/12/2024

But does bun or vite give you the generators that the cli provides? The point is this install method is to give you app code level generators that other frameworks don’t offer. You’re asking people to give up productivity for no reason. Use both.

Curious to learn more about this take. Will you please elaborate?

I’d like to see you on it! ➕ to this idea

I don’t like @hulutr.bsky.social to begin with because of ads but they have exclusive streaming rights to shows I watch. Problem is the start from where you left off feature always skips episodes. Caught it early this time but almost the 2nd time this has ruined a series for me.
