But the violence he endured last month in Minnesota while being detained is seared into his battered brain. He remembers Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents pulling him from a friend’s car on Jan. 8 outside a St. Paul shopping center and throwing him to the ground, handcuffing him, then punching him and striking his head with a steel baton. He remembers being dragged into an SUV and taken to a detention facility, where he said he was beaten again. I think it’s important to point out: ICE does NOT have the same authority as a police officer. They do NOT have the power to enforce laws, only to engage in their specific tasks. IE: they don’t do traffic, etc. impeding traffic is not a penalty ICE can enforce against

Saturday, I felt a mass under Jax’s chin. Today at the vet, all lymph nodes are swollen. I'll have the results of the biopsies/bloodwork in 5-7 days. They’re sure he has lymphoma/cancer, not sure of kind. My boy is only 8. His 1st oncologist appt is Oct 21. Words cannot express how devastated I am.
