OC-tober Day : Kiya! Kiya is the first friend Callum makes at camp Leechwater. Kiya is upbeat about everything and eager to immortalized every moment with her camera! I don't think I drew her very well, but I have to keep moving. Swipe for better drawings from the past. #art #oc #ocart #cartoon

OC-tober 5: Calum His name was Melvin before, but I've decided I like Callum better. Drawing him in a t-shirt for the first time because I figure the turtle inspiration could stand to be more subtle. #oc #art

OC-tober 3 & 4: Keziah and Zeke. Zeke was cursed with electrical powers that allow them to terrorize Oceanus, but also seem to damage Zeke's brain. He never fully understands what's going on, but with Keziah's leadership he remains a dangerous weapon. #OC #art

OC-tober continues with Zalia the two-tailed mermaid! Zalia is a character of mysterious origin that even I still can't figure out. My latest idea was that she's an amnesiac princess from ancient times, but who knows! All I know for sure is she came with Jair's trident. #originalcharacter #artsky

It occurs to me that it might be a good idea to include other images of the character if I have them. So here are some past drawings of Jair. Some of these must span back 6 years

I'm gonna do an OC-tober variation this year. I'll try to draw a portrait of one of my characters every day. To start, this is Jair, the hero of Oceanus. Having dreamed of adventure his whole life, Jair sets out to acquire Neptune's trident and become a hero for future legends! #art

Waist-up portrait of a blue merman with blue skin, blond hair, and a brown vest, with his arms akimbo.

My sister told me September was National Mushroom Month, so I should draw some mushroom characters. I had ho idea how diverse mushrooms really are! I wound up designing them as the staff of a funeral home, since mushrooms feed on dead things and one of them is a death trumpet.
