It turns out "Daniel Robson" is also a prolific contributor to the Western Standard His first articles for WS were published February 2026, the morning after the Tumbler Ridge school shooting Since then, it's a lot of criticisms focused on crime, immigration and pro-Palestinian protesters

Former Conservative MP Rahim Jaffer has filed his notice of intent to run in the October municipal election. He’s expected to formally announce his candidacy for Mayor of Edmonton next week. Jaffer was the MP for Edmonton Strathcona from 1997 to 2008 and now runs a restaurant on Whyte Ave.

I see nothing in the Liberal Party platform that could improve safety for people who use drugs, but plenty to make their lives more difficult & dangerous. Reads to me like doubling down on drug war failures: more cops w/ more powers, harm reduction unmentioned. Alberta model goes federal.
