I think what impressed me most about Steur was that early doors he had a couple of wayward touches leading to a turnover after the Leeds goal, that could've been him done but he got better and better. more touches, more confidence, ALWAYS wanting to play forwards, always wanting to create

so yes, the last 30mins was torrid but Hall, Wissa, Willock all looked knackered and we only had 2 subs we could realistically bring on thought Miley was better at RB than CM MFP didn't get involved much but worked so hard off the ball not a great win. but vital after the Leeds battering

IMO we need a more traditional #9 then proper creative/technical #10 and right-winger Which leaves Toure, Barnes, MFP, Wissa, Osula and Elanga for one position/rotation ... but that's where we are. We're weak in all 4 attacking positions

I thought the first couple of matches were pure transition. Extension of pre-season and gave us a foundation to build on But nothing has actually improved. There's a fuck-off massive gap in midfield. We can't progress the ball. We can't KEEP the ball. So we're inviting pressure constantly

All they need to do themselves is pump the ball forward. Then they move up the pitch and press And we can't do the same, so we get deeper and deeper together trying to break the press before hitting it long and giving it straight back to them Urgh it's ugly to watch. HUGE gap in midfield too

Can't complain about that at all. What exactly are these tactics? We sit deep, get pressed, then pump the ball up field with a long ball. Most of the time they then win it, but on the rare occasions we do, it's just one or two of our players against half their team and we can't complete a pass?
