Spooky month has arrived 🎃🦇🍂

I didn't mind the start but SH Townfall is turning into such a slog to play through. Can't see me doing multiple playthroughs of this game.

Only found out yesterday that Control Resonant physical copies got delayed til mid October. I don't mind myself as got enough to play atm

Got my copy of SH: Townfall today finally. Missed out on steelbook I pre-ordered in April because Amazon messed it up again. Ordered the normal edition from my usual place yesterday, dispatched within 40 mins and arrived today. Levels.

I think the normal enemies have been easy in Onimusha: WotS but not really seeing a problem with boss fights being 'too easy'. They've been reasonably challenging for this type of game imo, very fun to fight too.

Still no news on my Townfall steelbook Amazon preorder, I'm hoping it's just a late dispatch but getting same feeling I did with Mortal Shell II. Won't be ordering games from there again if they balls this one up.

How "Shenmuey" is this photo?! 💙 A good friend is visiting Japan at the moment, and shared this stunning image of Tenso Suwa Shrine in Tokyo. The overcast vibes, the damp weather, the buildings in the background... it could easily be Yokosuka. Who knows, maybe there's a kitten just off screen!

Finished The Blood of Dawnwalker, a few problems here and there but very much enjoyed it overall. Hope we get more games in the universe. Can finally move onto Onimusha now!

I'm liking the combat in Blood of Dawnwalker so far, just hope they patch the constant stopping when running. Not too far outside of the prologue, enjoying it a lot atm.

If we get a Silent Hill set in the actual town again, I hope we get to explore the woodlands more. Would be cool seeing an Otherworld take on them.

Playing Kynseed and it's so nice to have a relaxing game after all those soulslikes. I only found out it was on console yesterday when browsing, developed by folks who worked on the Fable games. It's nice seeing the references lol

All the way back in SH4, in the official staff interview for the game's Konami Guidebook, Masashi Tsuboyama (art director and monster designer) shared the idea he had of a giant monster that the player could never see in its entirety. Unfortunately, the idea didn't come to fruition.

Extract from the translated interview with the SH4 staff.

Interviewer: Finally, could you tell us about any rejected creatures or characters you wanted to create?

Tsuboyama: There was something giant...something like when it was walking around, you could see only part of it at a time. I wanted to create something where you gradually got a better sense of what it looked like as it walked around.

Looking forward to playing The Blood of the Dawnwalker, my most anticipated game for rest of the year. This usually means my physical copy will somehow poof into a black hole and not arrive XD

Beat Mortal Shell II. Wasn't really keen on it. Too buggy, very unbalanced in parts, bland open world. 6/10 for me.
