Did you know that the sword that The Black Knight uses is basically just Evil Mjolnir? In all seriousness though, I think that there's a lot to be said about how we haven't had a no-gimmick sword fight since Afro Jack, and I think going from Samurai to Knight would be fun.

After the release of Dipity, this Primite-compatible LIGHT Fiend started collecting dust in peoples' bulk boxes. Such a shame too, he was pretty proud of himself. Answer: What is White Duston?

Pick a card. Any card, and for some reason, Yugipedia has a wholly separate page for the card's legality and rarity in Master Duel compared to the OCG/TCG/Genesys. Using Ib as an example, she has a different set of stats for MD compared to paper.

I've caught up on Lanterns recently, and I'll be honest: I just want this because I think it would be a really fun deep dive into the older iterations of characters we now associate with entirely different people. Jim Hammond Human Torch and Alan Scott Green Lantern would be fun.

The author of Dara-San had a stroke, & through sheer force of will, rehabilitated himself in order to draw this. Their art speaks to the human spirit.

Kinda crazy that the UN was partially formed to prevent another Hitler from rising, only for less than a century later, the closest thing we have to a modern Hitler can come there and proudly brag about his war crimes

So like… Remember how RF vs. GB was about two immortal paradoxes? Okay. Take that, turn the gore up to 11, and then make it between an immortal time lesbian isekai character and a guy who works for a time titan, and you have Akari Tokito vs. Gearas. AND I'M NOT KIDDING ABOUT THE GORE.

I’m more underwhelmed by Death Battle’s next time than I am upset. It’s just sorta… Meh. Goku Saitama is about to become a WidowWidow. It’ll be fine, but nothing memorable. That said, enjoy this meme interaction I made:

Honestly, two of the biggest TCGs should go at it. And while there's no MtG anime or show, there IS card lore. And the lore today is Jace and Albaz. Sure, this is mostly on legacy reasons, but it would still be fun to watch.

I was just judging myself mostly. Part of me wanted to see more Yu-Gi-Oh product (hell! I'm still holding out on them making a Sky Striker game that follows the manga story), so I guess I was just trying to convince myself that I wouldn't have fun.

I actually kinda needed to hear this. I wanted to experience my very first Tag Force game, and as much as I despise GenAI, being able to experience it would do something for my brain. A nice break from the meta slop on MD at least.

So it's not even them just underpaying the translators, it's them just being too lazy to get any at all.

it's a classic case of execs just not getting production at all, as well, it's the same mindset as when Disney got their animators to reuse animations and it took more time and effort than making stuff from scratch

Fun fact: "Reviewing an AI made translation" is more work for translators than just translating it themselves, because AI translations do not pass the sniff test beyond the most superficial. It's a loophole companies use as an excuse to underpay translators, and nothing else.

They have people there to review the translations, why not just have them translate? It genuinely sucks.

The issue is that going second is a death sentence. So to combat this, I propose that the Turn 1 player be given LESS time to make their plays. That way, they would have less time to set up a board of unbreakable bodies and would be forced to make less than optimal plays. I propose 60 seconds.

I know a lot of people lean towards Sailor Moon for Bloom (And Twilight), but this one… IDK. It just vibes for some reason. Maybe it's the whole "The toy show aimed towards girls but gets to absurd power levels" thing, but I feel that this one is interesting. Good Twi runback, good Winx intro.

I remember when I was first getting back into the game, Six Samurai looked pretty solid. Then it topped to the point that its main spell is STILL hit on the TCG/OCG list and is 100 points in Genesys. The only one where it's NOT hit is MD.

If we’re being honest with ourselves, this doesn’t even need the limit. Most decks come with quicker ways to revive monsters that are built-in to the decks. Someone name a deck in the last five years that ran this that was used at a YCS.

Dudeblade @dudebladex.bsky.social · 02/08/2026

The era this was banned was pretty much the early Synchro era. My best guess is that it was because of Black Rose Dragon nuking the board and then you rez something strong, but that’s a niche combo. It’s limited now, but that’s more for legacy reasons than it is for power level reasons.
