it's also ridiculous that it's less expensive and easier to construct market-rate housing than for affordable housing developers to cobble together multiple grant funding sources, and stitch together construction schedules of transport infra per grant requirements, etc. etc.

i'm so annoyed by BART frequencies there is potential for trains every 8-10mins. it was amazing being in montreal, etc. any major world class city/region and just going down to the train platform without checking ETAs first. no stress vs "if I miss this train, it's a long wait til next"

contractors dug up and then put in new asphalt on a portion of street that was just recently repaved! wtf happened to pavement coordination so this shit doesn't keep happening? -newly repaved road! -dig it up and make it shitty, cause more construction impacts

why don't landlords on their own subdivide the large commercial spaces? do they have unrealistic expectations? they think it's easier to have one large tenant or what? or they don't have the funds to retrofit? and for newer buildings, why don't architects/developers make space easily subdividable?

my neighbors forgot to move car for street sweeping. gonna be another month until next street sweeping. this is why streets aren't clean, and leaves/debris clog up storm drains aah, sf residential neighborhoods get like weekly street cleaning so everyone remembers. #oakland only monthly

first time seeing a sign actively get installed. stop sign on top of an incline. with red tape on the pole. i've seen that these are common in socal suburbs. like, ppl won't pay attention to Stop signs unless you add extra red to it, or unless you add flashing lights to it... #oakland
