New piece in The Conversation where we argue that the mis- and disinformation around #vaccines is bad for our #autonomy. If we really value free and autonomous choices, then from a policy perspective it means doing what we can to fix the information environment in which we make our decisions!
theconversation.com
Vaccine mis- and disinformation isn’t just a threat to public health, but also to our autonomy
When we are mis- or disinformed, it is difficult to act with autonomy. We may make decisions that do not align with our beliefs, even when we seem to be acting voluntarily.

Was at the Australia athletics national meet this weekend. First time at a track and field comp of that caliber. Lemme tell ya, it’s so rad! Also, I don’t know that I could make it half way down the track in 100m in the time hurdler runs and jumps 100m. That’s some humbling shit right there.

Temporary exclusion orders - didn’t know this was a thing in Australia (that an Australian citizen can be bared from re-entering the country if they’re a safety/terror threat). I can’t find a data on how often this has happened/happens. Anyone know if one can find said data anywhere?
