Waar eerdere maatregelen vooral gericht waren tegen individuele aanklagers en rechters, viseert Washington nu het Strafhof zelf.

Hello everyone, here is your daily update on what the Sun is doing: (Paraphrased from NOAA SWPC's recent forecast discussion) AR 4549 made more C-class flares, the largest a C7.9 with a CME that may reach Earth early Oct 11 UTC. NOAA: 40% chance of M-class flares.
Two images of the Sun side by side from NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory, Thursday, October 8. Left, the Sun in visible light with 5 labeled sunspot regions. Right, the Sun in extreme ultraviolet with coronal holes outlined and numbered. Across the top: sunspot number 92, solar flux 114 solar flux units, flare probability C 85%, M 40%, X 5%. At right, NOAA's 3-day Kp forecast as bars colored by level, peaking at Kp 5.67 for 09-12 UT on October 9.

Moments ago: AR 4549 fired off an M6.7 flare and apparent Earth-directed CME. You can see the blast wave in the middle is wide and violent, rippling through the Sun's outer atmosphere. We will need to see coronagraph images + models to get the full story, though. Stay tuned!

Here is the EUV blast wave from the recent M6.7 CME. It is impressive! We'll see how much material ends up visible in coroangraph imagery and what direction it is headed, but so far things look promising for another CME that could at least deliver a glancing blow to Earth in a couple days.
