HiPOD: Dune Day in Schaeberle Crater The light-colored, rough surface is covered with small impact craters, showing that this landscape has been exposed for a long time. The smooth, dark dunes were formed by wind-blown sand. uahirise.org/ESP_043582_1555 #Mars #science #NASA

HiPOD: Rhythmic Layering in Arabia Terra These deposits are undergoing erosion, which has produced crenulations, pits, and jagged edges. Darker wind-blown ripples and debris has more recently covered and infilled portions of the layered deposit. uahirise.org/ESP_092890_1825
