Was Fairford the most embarrassing false flag of all time?
For the past few months, we’ve been told by people with a crystal ball that an attack on UK soil was imminent, and now it’s finally happened.

New Zealand makes cervical cancer screenings free for all women aged 25 to 69. Until now, 55% of eligible women paid NZ$35 to over NZ$100 a visit, a cost that hit younger women hardest. The free screenings start March 2027; the move backs New Zealand’s goal of eliminating cervical cancer by 2040 […]

Rules for Innovation
Compliance isn't just about rules. It's about doing what's right. The most successful companies don't just follow regulations. They embrace ethics as a guiding force. Honesty. Integrity. Responsibility. These aren't just buzzwords. They're the bedrock of an organization with a growth mindset. Making ethics your North Star creates a culture of trust. Employees become a strong asset. Customers become loyal advocates. # But, Wait, There’s More Ethical compliance isn't a constraint. It's a catalyst for innovation. When you challenge a team to solve problems ethically, it unlocks their creativity. It can inspire teams to think beyond the obvious. The result? A company that doesn't just survive. It leads. So: Are you merely complying, or are you committed to ethics? The choice is yours. The rewards are measured in business success.

NASA picture of the day today is a real 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿beauty! This is a composite image of the ~5000yo Callanish Stones on the Isle of Lewis. The amazing Giuseppe Petricca has only gone and photographed the Sun at noon there, every few days, for a whole year. #Dedication 🔭🧪👌 ℹ️: science.nasa.gov/image-articl...
The imposing Callanish Stones stand talk with their shadows spanning out across the glass. It's a super clear sky, but looks cold. Above the central stone is a strange figure-of-8 shape of dots. This is the location of the Sun, at noon, on various different days across the year.

It seems like a tipping point when two thirds of the stories on the BBC Europe news page are about Russia waging asymmetrical warfare on Europe. I can only hope that Europe is retaliating in some way.
Two thirds of the headlines on the BBC News' Europe page are about actual or suspected attacks by Russia: flares fired by a Russian warship at a Danish military helicopter, the sabotage of rail lines in the Netherlands causing disruption, a drone shot down over Lithuania, a train that Boris Johnson and other leaders had been on being attacked by s drone, and Russian attacks on Ukrainian postal workers and facilities.

There were many ways in which the US and its allies could have responded to the horror of 9/11. But by building extreme security states, launching pointless forever wars and restricting domestic dissent, successive governments inflicted more harm on their nations than the terrorists could have done.

This week's column is about the Starmer-like self-destruction of the impending decision to approve new oil and gas drilling in the North Sea. It might appease certain lobby groups, but it sabotages Burnham's own project and drives voters away. Utter madness. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

This is not from somewhere else, it’s from Delft. And it’s not from the 1950s, but from the present. Unfortunately what academic life and culture in The Netherlands is still like. The author is just one of the few who actually spoke up about it, but there are many stories like it. (Alt at https://pastebin.com/cqLvxX1f)
