Haha! Not very well! A combination, I guess, of ‘starfish on the beach’ theory (I made a difference to *that* one…) and very slowly building community. In some circumstances, I also used a lot of ‘complexity speak’ because it sounds scientific and therefore credible!

This echoes my own experience of working in organisational change, Charlie. Deep, complex, questions of identity, relationship, purpose and power would only rarely survive hubristic PowerPoint slides and Gantt charts.

This a wonderful read. It touches on something I've noticed, which is how walking or biking makes me feel more connected to my community, because I am seeing people and noticing things I never would in a car. In a car you are isolated, quite literally walled off from the world around you.
