I'm working on English subtitles for the anime. Could I ask some questions about your translation for the game?

"An Old Friend" Four page comic by me.

A few days after my son was born I came down with a terrible fever.
I felt bad that I wasn't much help to my wife, but I didn't want to get him sick.
One night I saw something near his crib.
As I stared my vision adjusted to the dark...
...or rather a shape took form.

A dim light revealed the face of an old friend.
"He's beautiful," he said.
As my wife and son slept soundly he sat on the end of my bed...
...and we reminisced.

We talked about school, and our home town.
We quizzed each other about the people we knew, and times we shared.
But a question hung in the air.
"Why did you kill yourself?" I asked.

His face fell. I felt like I had made a faux pas.
After that he wished me well, and then said goodbye.
I could see him faintly in the dark for some time.
By the morning I remembered that his answer brought me some comfort...
...but I had forgotten what he said.

Q should be moved to the end of the alphabet with all the other stupid letters.

That's when you put it down and go to your backlog shelf! (I have also not been doing this)

I've launched the "Power Cat Strip Archive!" 🥳 This is a great page to look at if you're wanting to find a specific strip on a given day, glance over all the strips at once, or inquire about purchasing the original inks for a specific strip. Link ⬇️ rubymayvalentine.net/daily/archive

I wanna iterate on this list because I feel like things I hadn't thought about or played in years actually loom large over my tastes.

Let me give you an example: I asked @mopedcow.bsky.social to draw me “a spread that was a cutaway of our titular house in Graveneye, full of mismatched rooms with the characters tensely moving between them”. That’s it, a SINGLE sparse line. Anna tool that line and made fucking THIS!!!!!!

Give yourself something to look forward to next year. Something less substantial than a resolution which can carry regret if you can't stick to it. Think of a book you want to read, a genre of music you'd like to learn more about, a curiosity to chase no matter how trivial. Keep your spark lit.

Is that procedural lighting in the camp scene, or did you make sprites for it specifically? It looks really nice.

The Bomberman Earthquake PSA. It's a character a lot of people would know about without ever having heard of the anime.

89 years ago today Mosley attempted to march his blackshirts through the East End of London. The Jewish press counselled calm. East End Jews - backed primarily by Irish & Communists - beat them back with fists, pipes, clubs. Old women poured hot water on them from above.
