Talking about the dangers from chemicals in fake squishy toys was not on my radar this week but here we go In short, look out for a lack of safety labels and instructions and/or spelling mistakes in the labels. A strong chemical smell is a red flag - & definitely keep them out of the microwave.

Small molecules such as gases can move into and out of cavities in these frameworks.
