Orlee Lavee #smh seems deeply kind and is a haematologist hero. But protesting ex-IDF people running in the Sydney Marathon is not antisemitic or the wrong tone. Raising money for charity isn't enough to undo the war crimes of the IDF and the state of Israel, even if you were conscripted.

Rarely here. I miss @kudelka.bsky.social more than words can express. I noticed his cartoons when I was 18 and he was irritatingly young/talented. We became proper friends on what was Twitter. Over 17 years, many platforms, many private chats. He adored his wife Margaret and his stunning kids. Sigh.

Tonight for dinner I had brandy and dry and Christmas cake with butter, in honour of my mother outlaw, my kid's Grandma. Her funeral is tomorrow. I loved her for 25 years, although she had NFI who I was for the last two (at least). She was an incredible woman, we were so lucky to have her.

Great post about the nuances of eugenics. Was part of my PhD so I know Austn progressives were very fond of ‘positive eugenics’ to ensure the ‘best’ folks bred more. Horrid eugenic policies like forced institutionalisation were also a thing, but not all horrid policies were eugenics!
