Oh yeah, I’d hear he wasn’t the preferred choice but as the first film was sold by the BBC to Hammer with him being involved, he clearly was out of the loop. This is an excellent book if you have an interest in the Hammer version of the Pit but also touches on the other Q series/films.

I watched the Mummy’s Shroud again the other day. He’s so good as the poor, abused Longbarrow. Morell (again) is a great lead and totally different to the more heroic characters he plays in other Hammer films.

Watching Sid James get killed is interesting in that film but Donlevey is not a great Quatermass for me. he is more like likely to punch things or go drinking with them. morell in quatermass and the pit is better.

I mean, she is a big part of why it’s so good. Along with the reptile. The bit with Andre morell getting caught grave digging by Micheal ripper is genius. Then the weird psychedelic dream.

After my previous grave digger ended up looking more like Donald Sinden than Micheal Ripper, I’ve tried again. Still not getting the man, the myth, the legend that is the Ripper but it was fun to drawn. #gravedigger #illustration #drawing #art #fuckai

Plague of the Zombies is the best Hammer film. I will fight anyone who says otherwise.

I picked up a copy of of the Dumas club after rewatching The Ninth Gate recently. I read this years ago and can’t find it so grabbed another copy. The illustrations in are similar to the ones in the film and there’s the multiple versions of each, but which ones did Lucifer draw?

Chances of them reaching the UK are about 0% but they sound interesting.

Mass Effect has element zero which does everything but i don't think its ever explained. 2001. the monolith. Imparts knowledge? Maybe? Jurassic Park "we used frog DNA to fill the gaps" always annoyed me.

Really? I'm not so sure. I'm convinced they're looking at us... i mean... after us.

You poor bastard. At least mine mainly suggest stuff I listen to. Although there was a point it offered me nothing but Chappelle Roan and Adelle. Turns out the missus had those two constantly on the alexa and it was connected to my apple account. My 'year in review' was interesting that year.

People who make the AI slop music flooding the likes of Spotify aren’t composers. They’re composters.

Clearly people with a lot of money have no empathy. Oh wait, we knew this already.
