Oh yeah, I’d hear he wasn’t the preferred choice but as the first film was sold by the BBC to Hammer with him being involved, he clearly was out of the loop. This is an excellent book if you have an interest in the Hammer version of the Pit but also touches on the other Q series/films.

I picked up a copy of of the Dumas club after rewatching The Ninth Gate recently. I read this years ago and can’t find it so grabbed another copy. The illustrations in are similar to the ones in the film and there’s the multiple versions of each, but which ones did Lucifer draw?

Training up to invade Piddington. We thought swords would be overkill for them so we’ve gone for sticks this evening. Not even sharp ones. Stick fighting was used as Sabre training and has a lot of similarities. Very fast as well. Quite bonky. #hema #ipswich #suffolk

One thing I like to do is create covers for my scenarios when I start on them. It helps me create a vibe and inspire me as I write. So… I have wicker heart in layout. I have Mist and snow in playtest. Next up is my video nasty inspired 80s scenario Late fees of the Damned This is the WIP cover

SAME! I wore it hidden under a science uniform tshirt for an RPG session of Star Trek. When the GM said we were under attack, I whipped the blue tshirt off revealing this underneath to the hilarity of the entire table.

Over the weekend I had some fun doing a few illustrations based on real illustrations from illuminated manuscripts. I did them as line drawing then I've tried colouring a couple in Photoshop to see how they may look. I quite like them as they help break up some of the massive blobs of text.

Sketched out a few layouts for a gravedigger picture. I don’t even have a full scenario yet but I like discovering ideas as I go. I’ve settled on three poses and ditched half a dozen others. Hammer tropes are fun to work with so this will probably write itself.
