Both vile and predictable. Still, would we bemoan the absence of women in Hitler's cabinet or personal staff? Just asking! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...

Strong story - much needed! Kudos to Truthout. Shut down this witch hunt! While we should be enraged we can't be surprised. Biden's Justice Dept. began this by examining Ilhan Omar’s finances. (NYT story, Jan. 26, 2026).

Timely, valuable analysis. Worth a read to understand the political limitations and potential of the movement. Missing is analysis of ed politics and Melenchon's linkage of austerity with control of schools by international capital. Lots of implications for the US!

It was "people power" that forced Trump to back down on the barbarism of a streamed execution. Explained here: open.substack.com/pub/kenklipp...

Looks like Susie Wiles is next. Trump has the same problem with female employees that he has with wives: Poor hires, based on looks and sycophancy, even worse supervision. Wives last longer because they have contracts. Mistresses fall into the employee category.

Without the methodology we can't trust any poll. But Trump's approval numbers are about the same as Herbert Hoover's in his failed attempt to defeat FDR at the height of the Depression. Conclusion? About 1/3 of this country will not recognize their economic self-interest. Focus on the other 2/3.

Rather than a bridge to the future it promised to be, the Biden administration served as a refueling station for an even more nihilistic, authoritarian, and destructive Trump administration. Democrats need to have learned the lesson by 2028.

Really sorry you face this. I think it's invisible because the misogyny reflects and emerges from tacit cultural assumptions. Their attitudes are shaped by uncritical acceptance of aspects of popular culture. They think they're cool, radical, when in fact they repeat deeply-ingrained biases.

The rejection is ideological, for sure. Perhaps not science per se but science that acknowledges systemic racism, how youth of color are demonized and dehumanized. Recall Hillary Clinton's "super-predator" comment? The apology rang very false, very quickly: www.businessinsider.com/hillary-clin...

Totally on-target. The fact that we shouldn't trust polls that don't provide their methodology (and then critique it to make sure it's valid and reliable), isn't a concern to the pundit-consultant propagandists for the Democratic "center," who look only for evidence that confirms their perspective.
