Similarly questions have to be asked of UEFA. The independent FFP panel found City guilty before a laissez faire approach to the CAS hearing allowed City to get away with the worst of the charges and then UEFA refused to appeal when it became clear that witnesses may have perjured themselves.

This is a huge stain on the integrity of what this competition is. This club has, according to the panel, corrupted the top league in the nation’s most-popular sport for nearly a decade and it took nearly a decade to deal with and it is still not over with appeal almost certain. A real mess

Maybe a bit early to discuss the process whatever the outcome may be here. But Man City investigation started in 2018. The club was charged more than 3 years ago. In that time, the team has continued unmolested, recruiting at incredible fees, winning at great frequency. The PL still can’t comment.

It wasn’t absolute though so left it open to chance over the course of a season (basically let it run its course) With City, if they punish them proportionately now they definitely relegate them. It’s just to which league and what are the knock on effects
